Will an endoscopy be done at the same visit?

Anoscopy may be performed during the visit; colonoscopy is scheduled separately with preparation.

First Consultation and Assessment

A first proctology consultation is usually short and focused. Its purpose is to understand the complaint, examine the area and decide whether further tests are required.

What to bring

Previous endoscopy, imaging or pathology reports
A current list of medications, including blood thinners
Notes on when symptoms began and what makes them better or worse

During the examination

Examination is performed in a private setting with appropriate positioning and draping. If pain prevents a complete assessment, treatment is started and the examination is repeated later.
